I'm really excited about having tables at several fairs and expos this year. Two are related to women and babies and two are fundraisers for our local food bank. I'm equally anticipating each. I want to be able to meet people face-to-face and introduce myself as a new childbirth resource in our community.
I'll admit, one of the things I'm most looking forward to is decorating my table. I have a design all worked out in my head. I probably won't have everything for the first event, just the essentials, but definitely for the second.
I want to get my rebozo and have that available, as well as my birth ball. I also want to have a uterus plushie...because. (I'm really in love with one I saw online. Also the ovary one. And an egg.)
That is what is on my mind a lot this week. Also: flashcards. I already made some for birth positions. They have some cute little stick figures with big heads on the front and on the back I wrote notes for advantages to the position shown. I also have some with helpful quotes from Ina May Gaskin. Sort of for when you are running out of ideas.
